Marc is the Director of Advisory Products and Program Management for the Consulting Group. He has more than 20 years of experience in the asset management business, at firms such as Citigroup Asset Management, New York Life Investment Management and Oppenheimer Capital. He has sold, managed and run businesses in the retail, institutional and retirement areas.
Richard Davies
Head of Product Strategy, AllianceBernstein DC Investments
Richard is responsible for developing and supporting AllianceBernstein’s defined contribution product solutions for plan sponsors and intermediaries globally. He took on his current role in June 2008 after leading institutional DC efforts since 2006. Previous positions at AllianceBernstein included head of retirement and college-savings business for the firm’s mutual funds organization, and head of global marketing and product management.
Prior to joining Alliance in 1995, Richard held positions at First Chicago Corp. and The Boston Consulting Group. He has degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Harvard Business School.
Erin Donnelly
Managing Director, Global Investment Solutions
Merrill Lynch Global Wealth and Investment Management
Erin is managing director and head of global funds and insurance for Merrill Lynch Global Wealth and Investment Management. She is responsible for the firm’s domestic and offshore mutual fund, money fund and exchange traded funds businesses in the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA. Erin is also responsible for leading the firm’s annuity and life insurance offerings.
Erin joined Merrill Lynch in 1996 and has held leadership positions in managed asset products, global relationship management, product management and marketing. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, she worked in insurance and banking. She received a BA from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses.
Andrew Gotfried

Raymond James & Associates
Andrew Gotfried is the vice president and director of the mutual fund research & marketing department for Raymond James & Associates in St. Petersburg, Florida. In this role, he oversees the relationship management with mutual fund companies that distribute throughout the broke-dealers of Raymond James Financial. In addition, he is responsible for providing client approved research recommendations on open-end mutual funds that are available through Raymond James.
Andrew began his career in 1993 with Barnett Investments as an Investment Professional and then in 1998 joined Raymond James Financial Services as a Compliance Advisor; he has been in his current role since 2005. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Florida.
William Rittling
Senior vice president and Director, Advisor Resource Group
MFS Investment Management
Bill is a senior vice president and director of the Advisor Resources Group of MFS Investment Management. The objective of the Advisor Resources Group is to strengthen MFS’ relationships with, as well as provide a single MFS point of contact for the analytical teams at key distributors in all channels and third-party platforms.
Bill joined MFS in March 2005 after 21 years with Merrill Lynch, where he started as a financial consultant. He held various positions in the sales, marketing and business relationship areas of Merrill’s mutual fund and asset management business, and ultimately became first vice president and director of non-proprietary mutual funds. He has a degree from Boston University.
Paul Schaeffer
President, ReFlow Management
As President of ReFlow Management, Paul is responsible for overseeing expansion of ReFlow’s client base and ensuring that its solutions meet the demands of the marketplace. He is well known in the financial services industry as a business strategist, speaker and author.
Paul came to ReFlow from SEI, where he was Managing Director of the Investment Manager Services Group. Previously he held positions at Investment Counseling, Inc. and other organizations. He is active in the ICI Research Committee and the Money Management Institute.
Stephen Seifert
Principal, U.S Mutual Funds Marketing, Canadian and U.K. Products
Edward Jones
Based in St. Louis, Steve has overseen U.S. mutual funds marketing since 2008. He also runs Edward Jones’s Canadian division (a role he took on in 2003) and U.K. products and services (a role he assumed in 2007). Seifert began his career at Edward Jones in 1989 as a financial advisor in Somerset, Ky., became a principal in 1999 and took on various leadership role in advisor training.
Steve has degrees from Millikin University and the Kellogg Management Institute at Northwestern University.
Christopher C. Thompson
Head of Investment Product Management, Putnam Investments
Chris is a Managing Director and Head of Putnam’s Investment Product Management Team. He is responsible for all aspects of product management and development for new and existing business across Putnam’s distribution channels. He has held various management positions since joining Putnam in 1997, most recently overseeing Putnam’s Institutional Defined Contribution business. Chris was also an Institutional Portfolio Manager for the Global Growth Equity Group.
Before Putnam, Chris’s experience includes positions at BEA Associates, CS First Boston investment Management, and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. He has degrees from Dartmouth College and NYU’s Stern Business School.
Dennis Bowden
Account Manager/Analyst, Strategic Insight
Dennis has been with Strategic Insight since 2007 as an analyst in the U.S. Research and Consulting Group. He is responsible for supporting U.S. client relationships and has also contributed to various Strategic Insight research publications, with a particular focus on U.S. fund distribution. Prior to joining Strategic Insight, Dennis worked at AllianceBernstein in their U.S. mutual fund area and also spent time with UBS as a financial advisor.
Dennis earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Johns Hopkins University, and holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
Loren Fox
Senior Research Analyst, Strategic Insight
Loren is a Senior Research Analyst at Strategic Insight, where he produces research on the U.S. investment management industry and frequently consults with SI clients, especially in the areas of distribution, marketing and ETFs. He has been with the firm since 2007.
Prior to joining SI, Loren was a business journalist and author, having worked at Institutional Investor magazine, Business 2.0, and other publications. He has degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University.
Sonia Mata
Associate Director, U.S. Research, Strategic Insight
Sonia has been with SI since 1998. As Associate Director, U.S. Research, Sonia consults with clients and provides analysis, commentary and editorial support for SI publications. She has written and contributed to SI reports on a range of fund industry trends, including developments in various product segments, product innovation, “packaged” advice, defined contribution plan investments, and ETFs.
Sonia holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she concentrated in international finance and business, and a B.A. in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
Avi Nachmany
Executive Vice President & Research Director, Strategic Insight
Avi, Executive Vice-President, is also the Research Director and co-Founder of Strategic Insight. Today he oversees 100+ studies the firm publishes annually – from innovations among U.S. funds and variable annuities to lessons and developments in the global asset management business. In addition, Avi regularly consults with many of SI's clients. In his public role as an industry observer, Avi frequently comments to the media and has become a sought-after speaker in both U.S. and international forums.
Avi received his MBA degree, with distinction, from NYU's Stern Business School.
